She frequently accompanied her mother who worked as a schoolteacher, to theater performances. Jennifer found her performance amazing. Jennifer's parents separated when she was five. Jennifer spent the bulk of her life within British Columbia, after her mother relocated there with their four kids. Jennifer did not appear to be a scholarly type, despite the fact that she was a talented artist as a child. The time she spent in Canadian schools led to her being often the target of bullying. She began to lose interest at the theatre during her time in high school. The mother of her child encouraged her to play additional roles in different plays.
